Pesticide notification registry
About the registry
Indiana law (IC 15-16-5-65) requires school corporations to maintain a registry of parents and guardians who wish to receive advance notification before pesticides are applied on school property. If you are on the registry, SCSD2 will notify you at least 48 hours before a pesticide application occurs, except in the case of an emergency application to control an immediate threat to human health.
Register for notifications
To be added to the pesticide notification registry, contact the district office in writing with your name, address, phone number, and the name(s) of your student(s).

Notification process
- Registered families will be notified at least 48 hours before a scheduled pesticide application.
- Emergency applications to address an immediate health threat may occur without advance notice.
- Notification will include the date, time, location, and name of the pesticide to be applied.
- The registry is maintained at the district office and updated annually.
