About Scottsburg Middle School

Scottsburg Middle School is built around the WARRIOR character pillars: Trustworthiness, Caring, Citizenship, Respect, Fairness, and Responsibility. These values guide every classroom, hallway, and activity.

SMS has earned the Apple Distinguished School designation five consecutive times (2013–2025), reflecting our deep commitment to technology-enhanced learning. We are also proud holders of the RAMP/ISCA Gold Star Guidance Designation (2010–present) and the IASC Student Council Honor Council distinction for 23 consecutive years.

Our athletic and extracurricular program has produced multiple conference champions and national archery tournament qualifiers. The SMS Robotics team regularly competes at the state level at Lucas Oil Stadium.
